Ashland
This project is a two-story residential rebuild and addition developed in response to post-fire recovery needs. The design introduces a new upper-level volume that consolidates programmatic functions while reinforcing structural clarity and long-term durability.

Overhead addition
The architectural composition is defined by a clear stacking of volumes, with the second-floor addition expressed as a restrained, lightweight form above a more grounded base. This vertical organization allows the project to expand usable area without significantly increasing the building footprint, supporting efficient land use and improved spatial hierarchy within the residential lot.

At the ground level, the rebuilt structure maintains a strong relationship to outdoor space through landscape integration and controlled thresholds between interior and exterior. The architectural language prioritizes continuity between old and new elements, allowing the addition to read as a cohesive extension rather than a separate intervention.
