Echo Hotel / LA

Situated just west of Downtown Los Angeles, the development includes 180 room boutique hotel with conferencing facilities, restaurant and pool deck at the 4th level with outstanding views of the Los Angeles skyline. Retail shops, Cafe’s and/or restaurants will front Glendale Blvd. Crowning the prow of the building at the 10th story, patrons dine at one of LA’s finest dining locations.

In collaboration with EKN Development, MAKE conceived a concept for a new 194 room full-service hotel just South of Echo Park on a tight urban infill site. One restaurant at the fourth level and another at the rooftop will draw in panoramic views of the downtown Los Angeles skyline.

Conceived of modular construction,the design has been developed in close collaboration with Stack Modular, a custom frame based module system, factory fabricated, and complete including furnishing upon delivery with minimal site work when craned into place.

Modular construction is a burgeoning construction methodology offering attractive
construction price, and very rapid construction schedule. Overlapping factory fabrication and site construction along with greatly reduced on site construction time offers a glimpse into the future of construction.
