Yiyang Sang is an architect and interior designer operating in the field of visual arts, graphic design, architecture design, interior design and construction practice.

Yiyang embarked on his architectural journey at the University of Liverpool in the UK, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. Following this, he completed his first Master's degree at the same university, also serving as a Teaching Assistant in the design documentation curriculum. This early academic exposure laid the foundation for his future career.

In 2012, Yiyang entered the professional realm of architecture, gaining valuable experience at Atelier Deshaus in Shanghai and later at B+U Architecture in Los Angeles. Concurrently, he was involved with MAKE Architecture, where he got acquainted with various project types, including restaurant, hospitality, and office projects. These experiences exposed him to the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.

To further hone his skills and knowledge, Yiyang pursued a Master of Architecture degree at SCI-Arc. Armed with a comprehensive educational background, including a Bachelor of Art and a Master of Art in Architecture from the University of Liverpool, he continued to build on his professional experiences.

After completing his graduate work, Yiyang joined MAKE Architecture in Los Angeles, CA, where he swiftly rose to a managerial role. His responsibilities encompassed diverse projects, such as single-family and multi-family residential, as well as restaurant and hospitality buildings. Simultaneously, he undertook independent commissions for residential construction projects in San Bernardino County, CA, and collaborated with the Marriott hotel management team to establish an architectural brand style.

Yiyang's expertise extends beyond traditional architecture, as he is part of the D5 render development team. His involvement earned him an invitation as a guest speaker to present a 'D5 animation' workflow workshop at Harvard GSD in September 2022, showcasing his proficiency and recognition in emerging technologies.

Currently, Yiyang is on the path to obtaining an AIA architect license, a significant milestone in his professional journey. He is driven by a quest for inspiration at the intersection of modern architecture design, emerging technology, and social cultural trends, highlighting his forward-thinking approach to the field. Yiyang Sang stands as a testament to the fusion of academic rigor, professional experience, and a continuous pursuit of innovation in the dynamic realm of architecture and interior design.
