Yiyang Sang is an architect and interior designer operating in the field of visual arts, graphic design, architecture design, interior design and construction practice.
Yiyang Sang is an architectural and landscape designer based in Los Angeles, trained in architecture and increasingly focused on landscape-driven spatial strategies across urban, residential, and public realms. His work emphasizes the translation of architectural concepts into integrated site systems, including circulation, grading, planting, water, and materiality.

Yiyang is currently an Architectural Designer II at RIOS, where he contributes to integrated architectural and landscape design for residential, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. His responsibilities include coordinating with landscape architects and civil consultants on site planning and outdoor spatial systems, producing Revit-based documentation addressing building–site integration, setbacks, and open space requirements, and developing digital models and visualizations to communicate landscape intent and spatial experience. His work also supports sustainable design strategies related to outdoor comfort, shading, and environmental performance.
Previously, Yiyang worked at MAKE Architecture in Los Angeles, assisting in architectural and site design development for residential and commercial projects. His experience there included early site analysis, massing studies, outdoor space planning, consultant coordination, and the preparation of construction documentation. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Baumgartner+Uriu Studio in Los Angeles and Atelier Deshaus in Shanghai, contributing to projects with complex urban and landscape contexts through design development, modeling, and visual representation.

Yiyang holds a Master of Architecture II from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Liverpool. He is a LEED AP BD+C with advanced proficiency in digital design and visualization workflows, supporting both design development and client communication. His work reflects a systems-oriented approach that bridges architecture, landscape, and performance-based design.
